Dr. Brock Bernsten
Pediatrician in San Francisco and Mill Valley, CATown and Country Pediatric Medical Associates
Dr. Brock Bernsten was born and raised in Indiana and earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for his residencies at Mount Zion Medical Center, which is now part of UCSF.
He followed his residencies with fellowship training in neonatology, also at Mount Zion. Dr. Bernsten has recently served as a board member, and later the President, of the Community Resource Health Center at California Pacific Medical Center. He is a clinical professor of Pediatrics at UCSF, teaching medical students and nursing students. Dr. Bernsten is married to Diana, a nurse in our Mill Valley, CA office, and they have three children in their 20s. When not working, he enjoys running, golf, skiing, reading, music and the San Francisco Giants.
Dr. Bernsten’s approach to pediatric medicine is to provide the best preventative care combined with as much non-interventional care for illnesses as possible. He attempts to use as little medication as possible when treating sick children. His philosophy is to treat his patients as he would expect his own children to be treated. Dr. Bernsten looks at himself primarily as a teacher.
In 2011 Dr. Bernsten received the “Best of the Best” award from Bay Area Parent Magazine.
From 2014-2016, Dr. Bernsten was voted as one of the 415 Top Doctors in the Marin Magazine.
